Helvetic Airways Cadet Program

Helvetic Airways Cadet Program

Helvetic Airways offers a rare and unique opportunity for the young “Ab Initio Pilots.” They will receive extra help already throughout the pilot training. Our aim is very early on in their flying history to meet prospective future Members. For that reason, in collaboration with Horizon Swiss Flight Academy AG, Helvetic Airways provides the Airline Pilot Cadet Program. Once the program has been completed successfully, the candidate is employed as co-pilot, and within 12 months Helvetic Airways must conclude an employment contract.

The possibilities during the education are:
  • Jumpseat flights
  • Ground training with rated crew members
The minimum qualification and experience are:
  • Age at least 20, maximum 40
  • Medical Class 1
  • Good and responsible personality
  • Successful Horizon entry assessment or SPHAIR candidates with recommendation for commercial pilot
  • Swiss Citizen or EU-25/EFTA with working permit B
  • Good German knowledge
  • Completed initial military or civil service if applicable
  • Positive background check (criminal record)
